The Aim of The Game
The goal in Hex Appeal is to rearange the colored pieces so that each piece sits on a tile of the same color.

Moving the Pieces To move pieces on the board simple click on them. Clicking on a tile will cause the six pieces on the surrounding tiles to rotate position.

Game Options
There are two game types and two practice modes in Hex Appeal.

  • Tournament
  • This is the regular game type. In this game type the goal is to compete each board in a limited number of clicks. Unused clicks carry over to the next board and you get more clicks to use every time you complete a board.
  • Timed Tournament
  • This is the game type for those who like the pressure of a ticking clock. In this mode you have an unlimited number of clicks to complete the board, but once the clock hits zero, it's game over. Unused time carries over to the next board.
  • Practice mode
  • This mode lets you practice any of the standard boards without pressure. You can use this mode to play boards created in the Board Editor too.
  • Practice mode
  • This mode times you while you practice a standard or custom board.

The Control Window

  1. The Game Type Menu: Lets you select the game type you want to play.
  2. The Board Menu (Practice modes only): Lets you select a standard board or open your own
  3. The Difficulty Slider: Lets you select a difficulty level
  4. High Scores: There is a different high scores list for each difficulty level and game type. Click on a name to be entered in the WWScores
